Elements Of "Life"

The word "life" has not even come close to a useful definition as that word is used in science, health and skin beauty.

The largest problem with any other usages has been twofold:

  • The word "life" is never defined, with one exception, with adequate relationship shown as to the physical and the non-physical universes. In other words, those two universes are acknowledged to exist, but with no understanding of the definitions or their relationship.
  • Many "remedies" used in the health care industry (certainly including drugs and even vitamins) claim to improve the body, mind and spirit when those who make such claims never have an adequate definition or understanding of the word "life" or "spirit."

Vibrant Skin Repair Cream, and all of the products and philosophy of the parent organization, Vibrant Life, carefully draw the line and make NO claims of treating or affecting any non-material, or spiritual aspect of existence while, still, acknowledging that spiritual factors are senior in importance and in results in the field of the health of the body (and certainly skin).

In recent years more and more honest scholars are beginning to question the inadequacy of the usual definitions of "life:"

LIFE: Predominately considered to be a characteristic of humans, plants and animals. However, even inert matter is in constant movement and change. We continue to find life in places that we did not believe that it could exist, such as on the bottom of the sea floor around thermal vents. Perhaps our ideas of what is living and what is non-living are flawed and merely the measure of our ignorance and restricted powers of observation. Many consider that the earth is alive. ...

Here is an example of one of the many definitions that uses the word "life" usefully, but misses the vital point that any definition which contains words which, themselves, are not defined, is an inadequate definition:

  • animation: the condition of living or the state of being alive; "while there's life there's hope";
  • "life depends on many chemical and physical processes" (source)

This description includes "animation" without providing any explanation of what is the SOURCE of animation. Contrary to what many doctors believe, "animation" is not caused by chemicals or drugs, nor does it arrise out a sea of amonia!

There is a list of many different approaches to the definition of this word with a simple Google search HERE.

As an example of the tremendous importance of non-material aspects of health are the CHOICES people make about food and care. Your choice is not a function of the condition of your body -- the condition of your body is a function of your choices.

It is that simple switch in logic that explains the great difference between allopathy and our newly-created genre of health care, called Ayurceutical.™

You, as a spiritual being, can be so stuck into the problems of the body that you make constant poor choices. The solution to poor choices is good choices, not a pill that changes your attitude about choices as the mood altering drugs claim to do.

There are MANY pills sold to affect your choices -- our products are not amongst them.

And so it is that we have a definition of "life" that ackowledges God and spiritual factors without claiming to control those with nutrients or creams.

God and spiritual factors are senior in importance to anything physical when it comes to improving your health. We make no claims here for presenting any authority or technology for implementing spiritual or mental aspects of existence. The senior philosophy that guides the creation of Vibrant Skin Repair Cream is the newly-created term, "Ayurceutical" which makes these issues and differences very clear.

We have, then, a careful but accurate description of "life" when it comes to the description of the "Elements of Life."

We start by acknowledging that "Life" has a spiritual and mental aspect which we make no claims about -- other than to urge you to find your own understandings of those terms.

We can, then, define "Life" in purely a physical plane, and do, and offer remedies that work within that definition of life.

As the final philosophical comment, we say, simply, that "Life is a matter of a material universe item -- the body -- animated by a non-material (spiritual) item." We leave it to you and your Church or other source to find a meaning for God and Sprit which satisfies you.

On a completely material plane, then, "What is Life? and What are the Elements of Life."

The primary Element of Life is MOTION. The motion I write about is the motion of a physical body, no matter how it may be animated. You can do virtually all of the definition of "life" when you define and describe MOTION and the various components of motion.

After you have understood the different aspects of MOTION (and the items which do the moving -- such as blood, lymph, muscles, organs, etc.) you can then examine the most basic elements of energy used to create motion.

The very basic scientific truth is that organisms need chemicals and light "to live." "Life" can exist only within a narrow tolerance of temperature and pressure. "Human Life" exists within an even smaller range of tolerance.

Beyond that simple truth comes the complexity, and the non-material aspects of different living organisms and "choices."

Plants live on the basic elements.

Plants and animals depend on each other. Microorganisms, insects, and fungi are decomposers. They provide chemicals for green plants. Plants are the food for plant eaters. The plant eaters are food for the meat eaters. These all provide waste materials for the decomposers. (source)

Animals live on more complex forms of food, but certainly include plants and other creatures. Thus the well known "food chain" where more complex living things depend on less complex things as their food. Finally you get to the bottom of living things -- where sunlight and only a few chemicals are sufficient to sustain that level of life.

Man is most complex. While his body could live on very simple foods, like any animal, HE is a thinking organism that makes CHOICES. Some of those choices are not healthy.

Tomatoes do not much "think about" what nourishment they "should have."

Whatever is provided to them by man or nature is the source of their health. A bad choice in water, soil or seed, or a bad year of climate? These are the sources of a sick tomato plant. The tomato plant does not make choices of food or life style.

The tomato plant does also not need a "good variety" of food, nor care about the sensation created by chocolate or coffee.

The child has not yet made many bad choices, or her parents have made good choices -- the child prospers. The skin, for instance, has the beauty and health of youth.

A bit older? Choices enter in. The girl at thirteen, snacking on sugar is starving her cells. The skin can't make choices, but takes what is available.

The girl at fifteen has opinions about food -- she pleases herself (her mother is the role model ?) and cheats her cells.

The woman at 40? Has probably made a whole bunch of bad choices. She has enjoyed food and life while taking life and health away from the cells. The cells do their best and the 40 year old is not ready to die, but the cells are getting just that way.

For the years that those cells have been trying to survive, they have had no choice in what it takes to survive -- SHE has enjoyed the sensations of foods that the cells could not use to produce health.

It is not too late!

The tomato plant cannot move to a valley with better rainfall. But the farmer can irrigate the plant. You can buy a better tomato! You can choose!

Even now you can start to feed your skin -- to recover that health of youth.
